Bad news for ad copywriters and graphic designers?

This is getting real...

AI is having a more visible impact on many professions, and now it's the time for Meta Ads.

Meta has recently announced the AI Sandbox for advertisers.

Think of it as their testing playground for early versions of new tools and features, including generative AI-powered ad tools.

To start, they are building the following tools:

📝 Text Variation: Generates multiple versions of text based on the advertiser's input.

🎨 Background Generation: Creates background images from text inputs, enabling marketers to expedite the process of experimenting with different backgrounds and broaden the range of their creative assets.

✂️ Image Outcropping: Adjusts creative assets to fit different aspect ratios across multiple surfaces, like Stories or Reels.

Although there are third-party tools that currently do this, now these features will be embedded into the ad creation screen.

Making it way easier for advertisers to access these tools without paying for them.

If you're into these tools, you'll probably have to wait a few months for them to be available, as they'll start to slowly roll them out in July.

A Look Into Eyewear Trends And Their Performance In The Market So Far In 2023

Our friends at Particl recently put together a report on sunglasses and how they're performing so far in 2023.

Google Introduced A New Era Of AI-Powered Ads At GML2023

Meta is not the only company in the advertising space to make big AI-related moves.

Yesterday, Google introduced a set of AI tools to improve the user experience.

Here are our top 3:

🧍 Campaign creation using natural language: introducing a new conversational experience in Google Ads that simplifies campaign creation. By combining user expertise with Google AI, this feature generates relevant keywords, headlines, descriptions, images, and other assets, making the process easier for advertisers.

🤖 Automatically created assets: this will help advertisers generate new headlines and descriptions that better match user search queries. For example, if a user searches for “skin care for dry sensitive skin”, the ad will be able to show original, AI-generated headlines that draw from the landing page and are even more relevant to the query, such as “Soothe Your Dry, Sensitive Skin”.

🎯 Brand Restrictions: in the past, it may have been difficult to use broad match in campaigns with specific brand needs. Now, with new brand restrictions, advertisers can benefit from the additional reach of broad match while ensuring it matches to relevant brand traffic that they specify.
