Meta’s Big Move Into Conversational Commerce
Your weekly dose of growth marketing news & tactics for DTC brands.
Goodbye Funnels. Hello Conversations.
Ever since the pandemic, the way people shop online has been changing, fast.
Then came ChatGPT, and things started changing even faster.
Now that AI is baked into the commerce experience itself, things are about to get really crazy.
We’re entering a new era where buying isn’t a “funnel” anymore...it’s a conversation.
Before we start. if you enjoy reading this newsletter, it'd mean the world to me if you could leave a review here.
Now, let's dive in!
Topics we'll cover today:
💠 Meta’s Big Move Into Conversational Commerce
💠 What 20+ Years and 5 Ventures Teach About Resilience
Meta’s Big Move Into Conversational Commerce
Meta just made one thing clear at Advertising Week: the sales funnel is no longer a straight line.

Source: Meta.
People don’t browse → add to cart → buy anymore.
They ask, chat, compare, and decide - often all within a few minutes.
And increasingly, those conversations are how people will soon buy.
Right now, many of those chats are happening inside ChatGPT. But soon, they’ll happen on websites, inside ads, and many other places.
What's new 👇️
Meet Business AI: your new 24/7 sales concierge
Think of it as a smart, always-on rep that lives inside your Meta ads, Messenger, WhatsApp, and now your website.

Source: Meta.
It learns from your content, ad campaigns, and site to answer questions, offer recommendations, and guide shoppers from discovery to checkout - in real time, no coding required.
According to Meta, early adopters are already seeing good results.
And here’s the kicker: it’s free to use on Meta ads and costs a fraction of competing tools for your website or messaging apps, or so they say.
Meta’s new AI Business Assistant
It’s like Shopify’s Sidekick, but built for your ad account instead of your store.

You can chat with it inside Ads Manager to get optimization ideas, fix account issues, and even receive proactive performance recommendations - 24/7.
Personalization Just Got Visual
Meta is also testing new AI-powered shopping experiences designed to build trust before the buy.
One of the most interesting?
The ability for shoppers to see how clothing looks on them by uploading a photo directly through an ad.

Source: Meta.
In the end, it’s all about confidence, giving people a more personal, interactive way to visualize products before they hit “buy”.
And this doesn't stop there!
Meta is testing a new experience (think of landing pages) that uses generative AI to show a dynamically created personalized page after clicking on an ad, showing helpful details about a business and its products or services based on the customer’s buying journey.
Some of these updates will be rolled out in the coming month or in 2026.
Things are changing fast.
So the big question for brands is:
When those conversations start happening everywhere - not just in ChatGPT - will your business be ready to join them?
